Denzel Washington's 2004 thriller Man on Fire is heading to the small screen for a new Tv adaptation.

The Tony Scott movie, based on A.J. Quinnell's 1980 novel of the same name, about a former Cia officer who seeks revenge after his daughter is abducted in Mexico, became a box office hit and grossed over $130 million (£86.7 million) worldwide, and now it has been tapped for Tv.

Tron: Legacy screenwriter David DiGilio will pen the script and serve as executive producer on the project, which is being developed for 20th Century Fox Television and studio New Regency, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
