Washington Raises Money With Broadway Show
OSCAR-winner Denzel Washington is using his current stint on Broadway to raise money for an AIDS charity.
The 50-year-old actor is starring as William Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR in New York's theatre district and has been urging audiences to empty their pockets for the BROADWAY CARES/ EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS fund.
Generous Washington has promised to match all donations with his own cash.
The big-hearted star is also selling signed posters for the good cause - with customers buying the souvenirs for $300 (GBP157) each.19/04/2005 17:24
