Desperate Housewives star MARCIA CROSS has offered words of support to Michael Douglas following his cancer diagnosis, insisting the disease is “beatable”.
The Wall Street actor revealed he is battling "stage four" throat cancer during an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman last month (Aug10), and is currently undergoing painful and energy-sapping chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatment.
The movie veteran has sent out a defiant message insisting he will "beat" the killer disease, and Cross, whose husband Tom Mahoney faced a cancer battle last year (09), is adamant there is “hope” for Douglas.
She tells Access Hollywood, "I look at Michael Douglas, who is about to undergo the same thing (as Mahoney) and that makes me have great hope for him and know that he can make it. It's a tough road, but it is beatable."
