Let's face it, when Prince Harry's Vegas pictures emerged last week, we were all thinking it. and now, Princess Diana 's biographer Andrew Morton has come right out and said it. According to Now magazine, Morton feels certain that Princess Diana would be very concerned about her youngest son's behaviour, if she were still alive today.
"Much as she would have hated to admit it, she would have been concerned about the direction Harry is taking," Morton, 49, told the magazine. Last week, Prince Harry caused a global scandal when Tmz published pictures of him naked, whilst he was partying in Las Vegas. According to the accompanying story, he had lost a game of 'strip billiards,' hence the complete lack of clothing. His behaviour caused outrage back home in Blighty and further controversy ensued over whether or not the UK tabloids should be allowed to publish the snaps, given that they had already been widely viewed online. "She would have defended him like a lioness with her cub," Morton continued. "After all, she was photographed topless on a Spanish holiday - but would have worried he is drinking far too much."
Reverting to allegory, Morton then surmised "She may have wondered if it is time for him to step away from the cocktail bar, if not the cocktail waitresses. Doubtless he would tell her to pour herself a drink, keep calm and keep Tweeting." Princess Diana was killed 15 years ago, in a car crash and whilst the idea of her using Twitter is a bizarre one, we can see what Morton's getting at here.
