Iconic fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg has been left nursing a broken nose and facial fractures following a skiing accident.
The style guru was enjoying a holiday in Aspen, Colorado with her husband, businessman Barry Diller, when she collided with another skier on the slopes.
The 64 year old was taken to a nearby medical centre and later airlifted to the UCLA hospital in California. Von Furstenberg is said to be recovering well and has now spoken out about her traumatic accident.
She tells WWD.com, "Barry and I were skiing happily. Some Brazilian man, who could not ski, lost control and went straight at me, hitting me badly on my face and ribs with his camera. I look like Mike Tyson on his worst fight. I guess it could have been worse... but it does not look pretty."
