Rapper DMX has confirmed he is making a sequel to his cult hip-hop film Belly. Beast will follow on directly from the 1998 film which marked Hype Williams' directorial debut, and will also star rapper Nas who appeared in Belly. DMX, real name Earl Simmons, tells AllHipHop.com, "It's me, Nas and Hype. I go and get (Nas' character in Africa). We start filming this year. "We got a sick story and all that. We're starting this one off how the last one ended and pick it up from there." Belly told the story of TOMMY, played by DMX, and SINCERE, played by Nas. The former partners in crime became estranged after Sincere decides to go straight and Tommy takes on a major drug deal from a Jamaican drug lord. A release date for the sequel is yet to be confirmed.
