Donatella Versace hosted a star studded dinner in London last night (11.11.10).

The designer held the bash at the Connaught Hotel to unveil the Central Saint Martins 20:20 Fashion Fund, to help the prestigious fashion college raise much needed funds as it moves to a new building in Kings Cross.

She told WWD: "For years I've been watching these students - and recruiting them. This is the greatest fashion school in the world."

CSM professor Louise Wilson said: "Donatella's support of Central Saint Martins' education is to be commended and her foresight in supporting the design talent of tomorrow is to be applauded."

Versace, American Express, Converse, net-a-porter, Gucci and John Rocha have all pledged £20,000 to help secure the future of the college.

Guests at Donatella's dinner for the 20:20 Fashion Fund included January Jones, Alexa Chung, Christopher Kane, Daisy Lowe, Roland Mouret, Dominic Cooper, and Poppy Delevigne.

January - who is currently shooting the 'X-Men' movie in London revealed she loves shopping in the British capital.

She said: "You know where I go - all the clichés - Topshop and great vintage shops."

Previous graduates of CSM include the late Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Zac Posen, Matthew Williamson , Stella Mccartney , Giles Deacon , Stephen Jones, Luella Bartley and Christopher Kane.
