Drew Barrymore turned 37-years-old today (February 22, 2012) and it could be double-cause for celebration if rumours circulating on Tuesday are anything to go by. Entertainment website Tmz.com obtained images of the Hollywood actress leaving a doctor's office with a sonogram over the weekend.
The ultra-sound image left many fans drawing the most obvious conclusion - that Barrymore is expecting her first child with fiance Will Kopelman. It is understood the couple are looking to start a family, and the actress was asked by Jay Leno whether she wanted kids during an appearance on the Tonight Show last month, telling the host, "Sure!...We'll start with one, see how it goes, and if we could be so blessed.that would be wonderful". There are several other explanations for why Barrymore would be carrying a sonogram, though starting a family is clearly something that has been on the actress' mind for a couple of years now. Back in 2006, she discussed the topic of children with People magazine, saying, "I definitely feel the beginnings of a tick-tock.Whether I have children or adopt, whatever form a family comes in, I would absolutely love to have it". Whispers of a possible pregnancy first began a couple of week back, when Barrymore was snapped wearing notably loose-fitting clothing.
Barrymore first went public with her relationship to art consultant Kopelman in February 2011. The actress has been engaged four times before, with two of those resulting in marriages - to bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994, splitting barely two months later, and then comedian Tom Green, splitting just five months later.
