Drew Barrymore magazine and told them, "the day was perfect." People magazine spoke to the Charlie's Angels star the day after she tied the knot to art consultant Will Kopelman. Drew and Will opted for a simple, traditional Jewish wedding and married, as many had speculated they would, on June 2, 2012.
In attendance at the elegant affair were Drew's best buddies, actresses Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon and close pals Jimmy Fallon and Busy Phillips. The ceremony took place at Barrymore's $5.7 million Montecito home in California, with their wedding planner Yifat Oren explaining the couple "just wanted a backyard wedding. It wasn't just any old backyard wedding, of course. Aside from taking part in the grounds of her luxurious home, Drew was wearing a flower-embroidered gown, designed by none other than Karl Lagerfeld himself and the whole event was decorated with vintage-style finishing touches, including vintage lace, pink flowers and green garlands. "Everyone we love and care about was there. It was as fun and meaningful as we ever could have hoped."
Cameron Diaz recently revealed that Kopelman eschewed the marital tradition of asking Drew's father's permission to marry her and asked her best friend Cameron instead. Will proposed to his new wife during their winter break in Sun Valley, Idaho, after checking with Diaz that he had the blessing of one of her closest pals.
