Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon has invited British royal Prince Charles and his partner Camilla Parker Bowles to his post-Brit Awards bash.

The 1980s superstar and his bandmates will receive an Outstanding Contribution to Music gong at the annual music event at London's EARLS COURT later this month (FEB04).

And after a chance meeting with the British heir to the throne and his companion, Le Bon decided to include them on his glitzy guest list.

Duran Duran's spokesman says, "Simon and his wife Yasmin met Charles and Camilla at the Fashion Rocks event in October (03) and got on so well, so they asked them to their forthcoming parties.

"I'm not sure whether an invite has gone through the official channels but I hear Prince William is supposed to be going to the Brits and he, too, would be welcome at the after-party."

The party is for "close friends and immediate family" and the location will not be revealed until the big night on 17 February (04).
