Producers behind hit independent British movie East is East are preparing to release a sequel, more than 10 years after the Asian culture comedy hit cinemas.
The low-budget film, starring Bollywood actor Om Puri as the head of a Pakistani family living in Manchester, north-east England, became a cult hit back in 1999, grossing over $15 million (£9.38 million).
Eleven years on, producer Leslee Udwin has revealed a follow-up, titled West is West, is already complete - and another installment could be in the works.
But Udwin insists filmmakers are not doing it for the cash.
Udwin tells Reuters, "I always felt there was a trilogy to be made based on what I had come to learn of the writer's own story when he and I worked together on developing East is East.
"This is not a cynically made sequel - in other words it has not been made in the spirit of a hoped for repeat of East is East, or else we would have jumped on that bandwagon some years earlier."
