Eddie Redmayne says going to an exclusive school where he mixed with ''lords and earls'' has helped him in his career.
Eddie Redmayne loves being a 'posh' boy.
The 31-year-old heartthrob admits his exclusive education at top boarding school Eton alongside the likes of British heir Prince William has prepared him for a life in the limelight, lavish events and dealing with A-list stars.
He said: ''It's the weird thing Eton does -you're at school next to lords and earls and, in my case, Prince William, so you end up being used to dealing with those sorts of people.''
Another asset his privilege background has granted him is his ability to feel at home in a suit or period costume on film sets after years of hardened practice getting suited and booted for May balls at Cambridge University.
Eddie said: ''I dressed pretty much ten as I am dress in 'Les Miserables'. Not much has changed in, like, 100 years!''
Although the 'My Week With Marilyn' actor feels comfortable in elaborate costumes, he still struggles to cope with the high level of maintenance his hairdo needs for film roles, most recently involving him adding a ginger hue to his usually brown hair.
He laughed: ''I can't wait to have my own colour back again. Fortunately, I'm colour-blind so I cant really tell myself but everyone else I know points it out as soon as they see me.''
