Anna Kendrick has split from director Edgar Wright.

The 'Pitch Perfect' actor had been dating Edgar since 2009 after he directed her in the movie 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' but the pair have now called time on their relationship because they found it difficult to maintain a long distance romance with Anna based in Los Angeles and Edgar in London.

A source told MailOnline: ''Anna and Edgar really love each other, but the relationship ended amicably. They're both great, funny people.''

Anna spent a great deal of time in London during the course of their relationship and is a fan of all things British, recently revealing she craves English tea.

She said: ''Every time I go to England the first thing I do is have tea. I crave it to the point where I panic, 'What am I going to do when I get home? I don't have a kettle.' But then the craving disappears - it's like something's pumped into the air.''

She is also a huge fan of UK talent show 'The X Factor', and was thrilled when girl group Little Mix won last year.

She added: ''I have to catch up on 'Sherlock and 'X Factor'. I loved that group who won last year, Little Mix. During their first performance I wanted to scream at the TV, 'Do you guys know that these are really good, really solid vocals.' ''
