Elisabeth Hasselbeck says she supports gay marriage, despite her well-publicised right-wing views. In a recent interview with Fancast, the 33-year-old host of 'The View' said, "I am not ultra-ultra-conservative on every issue. I actually support gay marriage." Despite introducing Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin at her Florida rallies in 2008, Hasselbeck also praised President Barack Obama - who appeared on her show in July 2010 - describing him as "incredibly cool" and stating that the President was sending a message to the American people through her show, which "felt special".
Known for her outspoken personality, Hasselbeck had a famous on-camera bust-up with former co-host ROSIE O'DONNELL in 2007. The pair furiously argued after O'Donnell called Hasselbeck "cowardly" for not defending her position on the troops in Iraq.
Hasselbeck is set to return to screens on Septemeber 7th 2010 when the new season of 'The View' begins. Talk-show host David Letterman is set to appear on the show for the very first time.
