Josh Hutcherson has bought Heath Ledger's old house.

The 'Hunger Games' star has splashed out on the two-bedroom, two-bathroom property - which was listed last September for $2.995 million - in the Hollywood Hills, though it is unclear whether he paid the full asking price.

The house is set on almost an acre of land and boasts large rooms, an 'Alice in Wonderland'-style garden and a large deck area with an outdoor screening room, grill and fire pit.

Heath - who died of an accidental drug overdose in January 2008 - and his then-girlfriend Michelle Williams bought the property, which is nicknamed 'The Treehouse' because of its wooden structure and stunning nature views, from talk show host in Ellen Degeneres.

It was then sold by the actor's estate late in 2008, and the house - which was built in 1951 - was put on the market last year.

As well as house-hunting, 19-year-old Josh - who recently underwent surgery to fix a broken nose - has been finding the time to have fun.

On Saturday (19.05.12), the actor enjoyed racing around a track in California.

He tweeted: ''holy s**t. I'm at the Infineon raceway in Napa with @audi ripping around the course in an R8. So fast. #bestimeever (sic)''
