Flamboyant rocker SIR Elton John and his fiance David Furnish have been told they will have to pay the cost of policing their wedding next week (21DEC05).

John and Furnish will exchange vows in the same Windsor, England, venue as British royal Prince Charles and CAMILLA, Duchess of Cornwall, who wed in April (05).

Even though the ceremony will be private, Thames Valley police are expecting thousands of fans to converge on Windsor Guildhall - and they will bill John for all the police work carried out to ensure his special day isn't disrupted.

A spokesperson says, "Any extra policing costs incurred as a result of the event will not be met by the residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

"They will be met by the organisers."
