Sir Elton John's representative has assured fans the rocker is "doing well" as he recovers from a serious respiratory infection.
The Rocket Man was diagnosed with the illness following his hospitalisation in Los Angeles in the early hours of Wednesday (23May12), and he was forced to scrap the remainder of this week's (ends 27May12) shows in Las Vegas to allow him time to rest.
In a statement, Sir Elton said, "All I can say to the fans is sorry I can't be with you. I hope to see you soon at this wonderful theatre at Caesars Palace."
But the singer is already making a good recovery and a spokesperson for the star tells ETonline.com he is "at home and doing well" following treatment.
