Rock 'n' roll king Elvis Presley is poised to score his 19th number one single in Britain on Sunday (09DEC04) - 27 years after his death.

The re-release of his legendary tune JAILHOUSE ROCK is out-selling current chart topper, reality TV star Steve Brookstein's debut single AGAINST ALL ODDS, by thousands of copies.

It will mark the second time in the 21st Century Elvis has posthumously shot to the top - in June 2002, a remix of his little known song LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION entered the chart at number one.
