Emily Blunt would like to be known for something else as well as stardom.

The 31-year-old actress admits she has a work ethic that makes her well-suited to the entertainment sphere, but insists she'd love to broaden her skillset.

When it was suggested she's good at stardom, Emily replied: ''God, I'd like to be good at other stuff, but I know what you mean. Some people are crap at it. And I think I am a good worker.

''But what I think is that I really love this job, and I'm kind of in love with it, even though it's not everything that I am.''

While Emily is good at acting in front of a camera, she hasn't always been such a confident public speaker having suffered with a stutter as a child.

She explained: ''As a kid I just stopped talking. It got very bad. I listened a lot because that's all I did. Really. And it's not meant to be a sob story, it was just the reality. Which was that I felt embarrassed to speak in front of people.''

Fortunately, Emily managed to overcome her speech impediment when she discovered her love of acting.

The 'Into The Woods' star added to The Times newspaper: ''I did speak fluently for the first time when I did a play in school, aged nine.''
