Eminem is ''starting to toy'' with his next album.

The 'Love the way You Lie' rapper is currently in the studio finishing the debut record with his hip-hop supergroup Slaughterhouse, but has also started gathering ideas for his next solo album.

He told New York radio station Hot 97: ''Right now, I'm actually finishing up everything on the Slaughterhouse album and kind of getting into my next record a little bit.

''That's basically the couple of things that I've been working on. ''I'm starting to toy with a new album, yes.''

Slaughterhouse sees Eminem team with fellow rappers Joel Ortiz, Joe Budden, Crooked I and Royce da 5'9'' and he thinks they have are a much needed force in hip-hop.

He added: ''I really feel like this group, hip-hop needs this, man, and I think people are going to see that when this album comes out man.''

Royce da 5'9'' has previously talked about Eminem's role as executive producer for Slaughterhouse.

He said: ''He'll come in and say 'Maybe change a line here, change a verse there, maybe move this around, let me add an instrument here.

''That's just what an executive producer does. From day one, Marshall was hands-on.''

Eminem released his last album, 'Recovery' in 2010.
