Emma Watson has shaken off her butter-wouldn't-melt image for her forthcoming movie The Bling Ring. People magazine have pictured the former Harry Potter star looking pretty fierce on the set of the movie, sporting a pair of denim hot-pants and a leather jacket, dressed in character, with her hair dyed dark brown. It's definitely a far-cry from the schoolgirl Hermione that she played in the Jk Rowling adaptations.
The Bling Ring tells the tale of the teenage gang that robbed the homes of several celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Orlando Bloom between 2008 and 2009. Watson plays the role of one of the gang members, Nicki. She has also been shooting scenes for the movie at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood California. Ironically, Lindsay Lohan herself has also served time at the facility. Emma has been reporting on the film's progress, via her Twitter page, telling her followers "Filming Bling Ring is going great. As Israel would say 'we are slaying this!' Thanks for the good luck messages," referring to her co-star Israel Broussard. The movie is written and directed by Sofia Coppola and also stars Leslie Mann, Kirsten Dunst and Gavin Rossdale, formerly of the band Bush.
Later this year, Watson will appear in The Perks of Being A Wallflower. The movie is scheduled for release in September 2012 and also stars Paul Rudd and LOGAN LERMAN.
