Pop star Geri Halliwell has snubbed the chance to work with Erasure frontman ANDY BELL - after trying to credit his songs to her name.

The former SPICE GIRL - whose most recent singles have failed to reach the top of the charts - was sent a batch of potential hit tracks from the A LITTLE RESPECT singer who was keen to help expand her pop career.

However Bell was quick to retract his offer when the 32-year-old star asked if she could rework the tracks and be credited as a co-writer.

A source says, "These were fully formed songs so it did not make sense for talks to continue."
