Former Eurythmics star Annie Lennox has praised Adele after presenting her with an Ivor Novello Award on Thursday (17May12).
Adele was reduced to tears as she collected two of the prestigious trophies at the 57th annual prizegiving in London.
The star was named songwriter of the year and her track Rolling in the Deep was recognised as the most performed song of 2011, and Lennox has now reached out to fans to pay tribute to her fellow Brit.
In a post on her Facebook.com page, Lennox writes, "I had a fun day yesterday at The Ivor Novello Awards presenting Adele with (yet another) fantastic gong! I love that girl. Can hardly believe that she's only twenty four with the voice that ranks with the greats of all time!"
