Ewan McGregor was worried about his parents seeing him have sex with "an old Japanese man" in 'The Pillow Book'.

The 40-year-old actor said he was a little apprehensive about his parents seeing the Full Frontal nudity and homoerotic scenes in the 1996 art house film, and was shocked when he realised they were taking all their friends.

He said: "I was worried about my dad seeing that film. I come from such a small, conservative wee town in Scotland. When he phoned me and said, 'We're going to see the film tonight son,' I just immediately had an image of me having sex with that old Japanese man.

"Then he said, 'We're taking the farmer and his wife and the dentist and his wife'. I thought, 'oh my God he's got a bus party together to see me go and sh*g a Japanese man'."

However, Ewan got positive reviews from his family for the film, with his father particularly proud of his manhood.

He added in an interview with Esquire magazine: "The next day he sent me a fax to say it was a beautiful film and that he was glad to see I'd inherited one of his major attributes."
