Noel Gallagher hasn't played his guitar "in months".

The former Oasis rocker is enjoying having lots of free time being "bored", rearranging his CDs and chilling out, rather than rushing to complete his first solo work since the band split last year.

He said: "It's good to be bored - for me, to be bored in nice.

"Just to stare out of the window or wonder if I should rearrange my CDs, wonder if I should count all the spare change in the whiskey bottle.

"Should I go out and see what that new pear cider tastes like? There's plenty of stuff I could be getting on with."

Noel, 43, also recently announced he is putting his solo career on hold until 2011.

He explained: "I'm moving house and my lady is nine months pregnant so I'm not doing anything until well into next year. I'll be doing nappies and all that malarkey."

The 'Live Forever' rocker's life will have become more hectic in recent weeks after his long-term partner, Sara MacDonald, gave birth to son Sonny on October 1.

Meanwhile, his estranged brother Liam Gallagher is working hard at his clothing label Pretty Green, and has organised a club night in north London to showcase new designs.

South Yorkshire rockers Exit Calm will perform at the Relentless Garage on November 26, while his brother Paul and Beady Eye bandmate Andy Bell will act as DJs during the evening.
