Faith Hill, the American country star, has finally reconnected with her long-lost brother are embarking on a journey to find her birth mother. The singer, who was adopted as a child, tracked down her mother in 1993 but has since reconnected with a brother she never knew she had, reports the Toronto Sun.
The Breathe hit maker first sought her birth mother to make peace with her, but the emotional journey ended with Hill gaining another family member. During the U.S. TV special 'Spotlight with Robin Roberts', which aired on Tuesday (9th November 2011), the singer explained. "There was a period of time when I first moved to Nashville (Tennessee), like the first couple of years, that I was just simply lost. That's when I went on a search for my birth family. And it was all by divine intervention that it happened". The country star spoke of her shock at being told she had a sibling, saying, "It was meant for me to find her (mother). One day, if I ever feel comfortable talking about the whole story, I will. But, in the process I found a full brother... So we needed one another" Little is known of Faith's brother, or when exactly she reconnected with him, although she has been absent from the music industry for around five years - returning at Wednesday's Cma Awards in Nashville.
The 44-year-old was given a standing ovation after she arrived on stage to perform new single 'Come Home'.
