A California teenager is set to serve time in a federal prison after pleading guilty to attempting to blackmail Miss Teen Usa Cassidy Wolf with a set of nude photos.
Jared James Abrahams, 19, appeared in court on Tuesday (12Nov13) and admitted to four counts of extortion and one of unauthorised access of a computer after hacking into the webcams of at least seven women from around the world to obtain naked pictures of them.
Reports suggest he used the shots to extort other raunchy images and videos from his reported victims in order to keep the pictures private.
Wolf refused to entertain his demands and instead called in police, who handed the case to Federal Bureau of Investigation (Fbi) officers in March (13). Abrahams was arrested in September (13).
He struck a plea deal with officers and is now expected to be sentenced to between 27 and 33 months behind bars.
