Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has revealed it used to take her two hours to perfect her spiral perm before school each day.
Fergie used to take two hours to do her hair before school.
The Black Eyed Peas singer - who is famed for her glamorous red carpet looks - revealed she hasn't always been so stylish, and had many fashion disasters when she was a teenager.
She told People magazine: "There are many pictures of me from high school and I had the spiral perm and I scrunched my hair. I would take two hours sometimes to do my hair before school, which is ridiculous. Teasing my bangs up to six inches high."
The star - who recently removed her eyebrow piercing after many years - admitted while there was a time when she wouldn't have felt complete without her piercings, she felt it was time for "a change".
She explained: "I've always been really into piercings. There was a time that I really felt naked without the piercings. And, you know, it was time for a change."
The 35-year-old star recently launched her debut fragrance, entitled Outspoken, and she admits the name for the scent is very appropriate because she has trouble keeping quiet.
She revealed: "I had to keep my big mouth shut for two years and every interview I just wanted to burst out and tell people about the updates and where it was going and what the notes were going to be and how I was changing it and I couldn't Say Anything, so that was ironic."
