BM2 is a very straightforward horror flick from the Scream and Friday the 13th schools, giving us a summer camp, nubile teens, a mythic (masked) serial killer, and plenty of self-referential dialogue.
Sure, it's one cliche after another (with the body count why does no one leave the camp?), but the actors here have a reasonable degree of talent and even deliver their lines with a believability that rivals, well, it rivals your typical teen horror fare, at least. Some of the camerawork is shoddy and the story is predictable, but this all comes with the genre. We know there will be a masked killer revealed in the end, and a lot of flesh and gore along the way.
Nothing wrong with that, especially when it only eats up 80 minutes of your day.
