The Flaming Lips and Lauryn Hill are to headline the latest Amnesty International supergig.

The two acts will be joined by Tegan and Sara and Cold War Kids, among others, at the benefit, which will be held on 5 February (14) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The first Amnesty International Human Rights Concerts were staged in the 1980s and '90s and featured artists like Radiohead, Lou Reed, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and Peter Gabriel.

Steven W. Hawkins of Amnesty International Usa states, "We're bringing back the concerts to show a new generation of activists how to stand up for justice at home and abroad, whether it is fighting for the right to voice dissent peacefully on social networks or in the streets, protecting the rights of women and girls, or standing in solidarity with individuals persecuted for who they are or what they believe."
