Rod Stewart, the British singer-songwriter and former frontman of THE FACES, has announced plans to tour with the Fleetwood Mac star Stevie Nicks. The pair announced the news on yesterday's (13th January 2011) edition of 'The ELLEN DEGENERES Show.
The 'Heart & Soul Tour' will kick off on 20th March 2011 in Ft. Lauderdale before moving onto venues in New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Tampa and Montreal. 66-year-old Stewart, who released 'Fly Me To The Moon.The Great American Songbook Volume V' back in October 2010, said the pair hadn't yet begun rehearsals but added, "I can already tell you this, with Stevie on board our audiences are in store for an evening of pure rock & roll music". Speaking about the type of material the duo are looking to play, the singer said, "I'm already thinking about which of my old favourites to bring back and vocally, I think we've both begun thinking about which songs might be great fun and well-suited for a duet or two".
Stewart's new compilation album 'The Best Of.The Great American Song Book' is set to hit shelves on 1st February 2011 while Nicks' new record 'In Your Dreams' will be released in May.
