Florence and the Machine's new album 'Ceremonials' is out in the UK and US this week, with the band's creative protagonist Florence Welch delighted at how the follow up to the imposing success of 'Lungs' has turned out - a huge debt of gratitude clearly attributed to her producer Paul Epworth.
Taking on Twitter today, the artist was understandably sounding thrilled at the release of 'Ceremonials' in the UK (October 31st) - it's out in the US tomorrow (November 1st) - tweeting "Happy Halloween! And ceremonials release day!....xxxxx". Appearing again later in the day, she paid homage to Epworth, saying "Sending huuuuge love to @paulepworth today. Thankyou so much for everything...,.xxx" She has also spoken to MTV.com about the importance of having him as her sole producer in wake of a debut album which saw a number of different ones involved, stating "I was very clear in the idea that I had of wanting to make something that sounded like a whole; so it had to be one producer, one place, one period of time to make it a body of work."
Epworth's career credits reads like a who's who of UK indie chart toppers since the London-based sound man first gained production credits on post-punk group The Futureheads self-titled debut album in 2004. Producing for the likes of Bloc Party, Friendly Fires and Cee Lo Geen, he's currently best known for his work with Adele, whose chart topping success with this year's '21' has been nothing short of phenomenal.
