Singer Florence Welch turned to alcohol as a young teenager in a bid to cope with her chaotic home life.
The Florence and the MAChine frontwoman bans booze backstage at gigs to avoid her famous on-stage acrobatics and she's now revealed her battle with drink began as a youngster.
But Welch is adamant she'll never drink to excess again because she is determined to focus on her career.
She tells Britain's Daily Record, "I started drinking at 14. There was chaos at home so I drank. I never progressed to anything hard, luckily.
"You need to be so healthy to keep up with the pace of work. I can't think of anything more terrifying than turning up to a gig with a hangover from hell."
