Blue Ivy Carter is the youngest person to ever appear on a chart record.

The infant's cries at just a few hours old was sampled on her father Jay-Z's newly-recorded track 'Glory' - on which she is credited as B.I.C. - and the song has reached number 78 on the Billboard R&B/hip-hop chart dated January 21.

The track is the week's highest new entry on the chart with 1.7 million audience impressions on 54 radio stations.

Jay-Z - whose real name is Shawn Carter - recorded the song less than 48 hours after his wife Beyonce Knowles gave birth to Blue Ivy on Saturday (07.01.12).

In the track - which was posted on his website Life and Times - he describes the new arrival as his "greatest creation".

He raps: "The most amazing feeling I feel, words can't describe what I'm feeling For Real / Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you.

"You're the child of destiny / you're the child of my destiny / you're my child with the child from Destiny's Child."

The hip-hop mogul was by his wife's side as she delivered the tot via Caesarean section on Saturday, after checking in to New York's Lenox Hill Hospital under the pseudonym Ingrid Jackson.

The couple are thought to have paid $1.3 million to rent out the entire fourth floor of the hospital, while security was increased with staff reportedly being asked to turn in their phones and cameras were covered with tape.
