Scottish funnyman Frankie Boyle's performance at Russell Brand's fundraising concert on Wednesday (06Mar13) was so offensive, censors cut huge chunks of his set from the Tv broadcast.

The controversial comedian was invited to join stars including rockers Noel Gallagher and Kasabian, pop singer Jessie J, and fellow comic Eddie Izzard at Brand's Give It Up for Comic Relief event in London.

The show was broadcast by the Bbc on a 60-minute delay, but Boyle's 10-minute routine was edited by producers after he was roundly booed by the star-studded audience for telling crude jokes about Queen Elizabeth Ii, pregnant royal Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and murder suspect paralympian Oscar Pistorius.

The concert raised money for organisations which help drug addicts and alcoholics get sober and it took place in conjunction with the U.K.'s upcoming Comic Relief Red Nose Day fundraiser on 15 March (13).
