British rock/dance band Friendly Fires have cancelled three dates on their U.K. tour after frontman Ed Macfarlane fell sick with laryngitis.
The band axed a gig in Southampton, England on Saturday night (12Nov11) after the singer was deemed too sick to perform and they have now also scrapped shows in Nottingham and Newcastle on Tuesday (14Nov11) and Wednesday (15Nov11) to allow the star time to recover.
A statement from the band reads, "With deep regret we are having to postpone our Nottingham and Newcastle shows this week as Ed's voice is still recovering from laryngitis. Again, sorry to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us. We are in the process of rescheduling these dates as soon as possible."
Friendly Fires are due back on stage in Manchester, England on Thursday (17Nov11).
