G.R.L's gig in Nova's Red Room Global Tour has been cancelled following the death of Simone Battle.

Nova Entertainment has decided to scrap the planned show at the Marquee nightclub in Las Vegas tonight (08.09.14), which would have seen the group play in front of 100 fans and competition winners, after the 25-year-old singer was found dead on Friday (05.09.14).

An official statement from the entertainment company reads: ''We are deeply saddened and shocked by the news about G.R.L. band member Simone Battle and our thoughts are with her loved ones. We appreciate this is a sensitive time and we would like to respect the privacy of all involved. Even though there will be no Red Room in Las Vegas, our listeners will continue to travel there before making their way home.''

Nova's Red Room Global Tour, which had planned to feature six artists in four cities in seven days - kicked off in Sydney on Wednesday night (03.09.14).

Meanwhile, G.R.L - consisting also of Natasha Slayton, Emmalyn Estrada, Paula Van Oppen and Lauren Bennett - released a statement over the weekend after learning that their band mate had committed suicide at her home address in Los Angeles.

The band wrote on its Twitter account on Saturday (06.09.14): ''Words cannot express the depth of our loss. Simone's incredible talent was only surpassed by the size of her heart. We will carry her memory with us in everything we do. (sic).''
