Gary Barlow is planning a ''perfect'' family Christmas.

The Take That frontman is currently a judge on the UK edition of 'The X Factor' but is looking forward to the show ending so he can spend some quality time with wife Dawn and their three children, Daniel, Emily and Daisy, over the festive period.

He said: ''I am looking forward to getting back to the family. I was with them a lot over the summer and doing this every weekend is really, really challenging - so I can't wait to have that time back with them.

''There'll be no big celebrations once 'The X Factor' is finished. I'll just go home to them and have a cup of tea.

''We'll be at home for Christmas this year, just being with them will be perfect.''

While he is looking forward to being at home, Gary, 41, will be keen to get back to work in the new year and is even considering organising another fundraising event in 2013.

Gary - who was behind Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee concert in the summer and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2009 to raise money for Comic Relief - told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''I love doing the charity side of things, pushing the boundaries and making that difference.

''You know what, I think it's time for another charity challenge next. I've not done one for a while.

''I had an idea the other day but I can't say anything yet. But if it comes off, it'll be great.''
