Gary Barlow - Gary Barlow To Travel The Commonwealth For Jubilee Song
British pop star Gary Barlow will travel to Commonwealth countries around the world to find inspiration for a song he has been commissioned to write in honour of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.
The Take That singer is teaming up with theatre mogul Andrew Lloyd Webber to put together a track in honour of the U.K. monarch's 60 years on the throne, which will be celebrated with a number of events this summer (12).
Barlow, who is also helping to organise a special Diamond Jubilee concert in London, will travel to a number of Commonwealth countries next month (Mar12), and his adventures will be filmed for a Bbc documentary.
He says in a statement, "This is probably the biggest challenge I've ever taken on musically, I'm so excited and thrilled to be a part of it."
The song will be performed at the star-studded concert, which features Sir Paul MCCartney and Sir Elton John, outside London's Buckingham Palace on 4 June (12).
