New wave pop icon Gary Numan is set to make up for his Coachella festival no-show by performing his most famous album in its entirety on an upcoming American tour.
The Cars hitmaker was among the stars caught up in the volcano ash chaos over Europe which prevented performers getting to America for Coachella in April (10), but he's now announced an extensive autumn (10) tour with a twist.
Numan will play his landmark 1979 album The Pleasure Principal from start to finish - to mark the 30th anniversary of the release.
The tour will be the Brit's first U.S. dates since 2006. Concerts begin in Florida on 17 October (10) and wrap up with a two-night stint at Los Angeles' El Rey a month later.
