Gary Oldman introduced a violent new 'sport' to America on Wednesday night (25Jun14) when he appeared in a skit about stranger wrestling.

After an awkward start to his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, during which the Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy star apologised for remarks he had made about Hollywood's Jewish community in a new Playboy interview, the actor lightened the mood with a previously recorded skit - something he has become famous for on Kimmel's show.

Wearing a tracksuit and a small camera strapped to his head, he grappled with actors and stuntmen pretending to be strangers on the street, even throwing one guy through the window of a dry cleaners and attacking two elderly women who asked him for an autograph.

He finished the skit in handcuffs, headbutting a police officer and running off.
