Gemma Arterton didn't think she would ever get married until she met her now husband Stefano Catelli.
Gemma Arterton never expected to get married.
The 'Tamara Drewe' actress - who tied the knot with Stefano Catelli in June this year - admits she spent so much of her life surrounded by failed relationships, she never dreamed of settling down until meeting the sales manager in a nightclub last year.
She said: "I never thought I'd get married because everybody in my life had been divorced.
"Mum and dad, everybody, especially from the town I grew up in. I never saw successful marriages, so I always thought it was a pointless thing to do. But when I met Stefano, I just understood why you get married. Instantly.
"You become the same thing and you just grow together. I just got it."
The 24-year-old beauty also admits she loves her Italian-born spouse's humbleness.
She told Britain's Glamour magazine: "Oh, he is so hot. And he doesn't even know it, he's so humble. He's gorgeous. And I'm pretty chuffed about that."
Discussing the possibility of motherhood and a family with Stefano, she suggests it is on the cards.
She revealed: "I've always been a mothering person."
