A man from Nevada has been exposed as a liar after claiming to be an Oompa Loompa in the 1970s Gene Wilder movie WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

Actor and hairstylist EZZY DAME, who stands at 1.2 meters (4 foot) tall, first made the claim over 20 years ago when his agent advised him to lie on his resume in a bid to win more roles - and he has been trading on the untruth ever since.

But he is now living to regret the lie as bona fide Oompa Loompa RUSTY GOFFE has publicly ridiculed the claims Dame made to a newspaper promoting the new Tim Burton movie Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

In a bid to salvage his reputation, Dame told the Reno Gazette-Journal, "I never made a profit or earned a financial gain from this.

"I never meant to harm anyone. It was a little white lie that became my haunted nightmare."

In the new movie, actor Deep Roy is multiplied by computer wizardry, to play all of the miniature chocolatiers.
