Funk star George Clinton and his band Parliament Funkadelic have been hit with a lawsuit after allegedly failing to stage a show in New York last year (11).
According to club owners, the group signed a contract to perform at La Boom in Queens last August (11) but instead played a different venue and held onto its $15,000 (£9,375) deposit.
La Boom bosses have since launched legal action against the band demanding their money back but Clinton's agent, Jeff Allen, insists Parliament Funkadelic have done no wrong.
Allen tells the New York Post, "La Boom chose to cancel the show. (The club) said there was no show and wanted the money back - it doesn't work that way."
