George Hamilton reckons 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' is about to turn "mean".

The former 'Dynasty' star said one of the reasons he walked out of the Australian jungle on Monday (30.11.09) was because he thinks the contestants will become more ruthless as the show enters its final stages.

George, 70, said: "People are going to turn against each other and I don't want to be a part of it. I didn't want to become the kind of guy who needed to be mean to win.

"The hardest thing would be to see the group split up. I always tried to avert arguments and inject humour.

"But it became clear to me, when I saw Stuart Manning and Joe Bugner going head to head in competition, that things were changing.

"And if I was going to win, then it meant someone else had to lose."

He also revealed he lost a stone in weight during his stint on the ITV show, and his doctor girlfriend, Barbara Sturm, 36, had begged him not to put himself into the gruelling conditions the celebrities face in the jungle.

George was, however, determined and left deeply upset with the producers' decision to ban him from competing in the show's Bushtucker trials after the third day, when he slipped and cut his arm on a rock.

He said: "That bothered me a lot. I thought to myself, 'Why am I here if I am exempt from all the trials?' It was frustrating. I didn't come over here to camp out and laugh."

'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' finishes on Friday (04.12.09).
