George Michael Lg Arena On 16 & 17 September 2012 Details

On 29 June 2012, it will be thirty years to the day that 'Wham Rap', George Michael's first single, written with Andrew Ridgeley entered the British charts. To celebrate and commemorate those thirty chart topping years, George will be releasing his most recent song, 'White Light'. This comes just ahead of his tour, which will be stopping at the LG Arena on 16 & 17 September.

George Michael said, "Although I know the music industry tradition on such occasions is to list the hundreds of millions of albums sold, the number of records broken and awards received over all those years, I would simply like to say thank you.

Most of my fans realise that I dreamed of a career as a singer/songwriter from an early age, but never in my wildest imaginings could I have known that I would still be here thirty years later, healthy, happy, and feeling that I still have so much more music to give. It is miraculous in so many ways. Fate has been so kind to me, as have the millions of people that that have bought records and come to see me play year after year since 1982."

George Michael is back in good health and fighting fit after a battle with pneumonia at the end of last year, which unfortunately led to his 'Symphonica - The Orchestral Tour' being postponed. He is now preparing to return to the big stage this autumn with rescheduled dates at the LG Arena on 16 & 17 September 2012.

Concert promoters have confirmed that original tickets will be valid for the rescheduled dates, while any returned tickets will be available to purchase from the venue box office. Tickets for 9 December 2011 will now be valid on 16 September 2012 and the 10 December 2011 show will now take place 17 September 2012.

Tickets for George Michael are on sale now, priced at £51, £76 & £91
