Cate Blanchett has been unveiled as the face of Armani's new perfume Si.

The Oscar-winning beauty signed a massive $10 million contract with the fashion and beauty brand earlier this year and in her first campaign under the exclusive deal, she is seen posing in a glamorous beauty shot.

The demure-looking image highlights the 44-year-old actress' flawless porcelain skin and her sumptuous lips, which are adorned in pink lipstick.

The campaign marks one of Cate's first forays into the world of celebrity beauty endorsement after being unveiled as the face of SK-II skincare products earlier this year.

Si boasts a ''captivating'' scent, mixing cassis and rich vanilla with blonde amber wood, a hint of patchouli and Rose de Mai.

Giorgio Armani said of the new fragrance: ''Si is my tribute to modern femininity, an irresistible combination of grace, strength and independent spirit.''

The perfume - which will go on sale on September 1 - is presented in a simplistic yet stylish rose-coloured bottle with a black cap.

Cate's new deal with Armani follows in the footsteps of stars including Beyonce, who fronted the campaign for Armani's Diamonds perfume, and Megan Fox and David Beckham, both of whom appeared in underwear campaigns for the fashion house.
