Cast members on the hit show Glee were struck down by a bout of tonsillitis over the weekend, and filming of an importance dance scene had to be halted, according to E! Online. Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Cory Monteith managed to avoid the illness and attended Sunday's (12th December 2010) Style Awards in Los Angeles.
GLEE costume designer LOU EYRICH, who also attended the awards ceremony, said, "We had to go down Friday night because of tonsillitis. There was supposed to be a big dance scene, but we got shut down", before adding, "Yeah, Dianna Agron and Kevin MCHale weren't feeling too good". Agron told followers on her Twitter page on Friday (10th December 2010), "Note to self...should have gotten a flu shot. In bed, hoping that medicine, soup, my computer and a marathon of movies will be the cure".
Monteith was hopeful that the illness wouldn't halt production for too long, adding that everyone will be "right back to work" soon. GLEE season 2 will resume on 6th February 2011 - last week's Christmas themed episode recorded viewing figures of over 11 million.
