Goldie Hawn always gives her brain a break.

The 67-year-old actress treats her mind like an organ and when she thinks her creativity and cognitive abilities are waning she treats her brain to a rest and has advised her fans to do the same.

Writing on Twitter, she said: ''Creativity and the brain fascinating. When you are stuck or blocked feeling frustrated your brain needs a break. Take one (sic)''.

It appears her followers were inspired by her brainy musings, with photographer Jill Cruse suggesting the glamorous blonde take up meditation in order to get her creative juices flowing.

Jill said: ''@goldiehawn Yes - meditate! #21daymeditationchallenge A great way to rest the brain and open up to creativity!''

The screen veteran - who has children Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson with her ex-husband Bill Hudson and son Wyatt with her lifelong partner Kurt Russell - is a fan of sharing her ''morning musings'' with the world.

Goldie posted earlier this month: ''Morning musings The Smile You Give is The one You get Back. Have as many happy moments today as we can xx''

The 'Private Benjamin' star has been in a relationship with Kurt since they were cast in 1983's 'Swing Shift' and she recently insisted they had ''done perfectly'' without marriage and she doesn't understand why they would need a legal document to consolidate their love.
