Goldie Hawn has dropped out of The Viagra Diaries. The Bird on a Wire star was supposed to be starring in the forthcoming HBO pilot but Deadline.com announced yesterday (March 1, 2012) that she's quit the show.
The Viagra Diaries is the new show from the Sex and the City creator Darren Star and is based on the book of the same name by Barbara Rose Brooker. Paul Feig, who recently found success with Bridesmaids is also directing. The story focuses on a woman left by her husband when he suffers a mid-life crisis. She's facing the world alone for the first time in 35 years and Hawn was set to play the lead role. However, she is said to have had "a bumpy last few months" with the Hbo network and has now decided to give it a miss altogether. Rumors suggest that Hawn was "being difficult in her dealings with the rest of the people involved in the project and in the casting process." It is unclear currently who will be replacing her.CBS="" golden="" boy="" and="" paul="" bettany="" jumped="" ship="" masters="" sex.="">
